If you’re wondering what it could mean if you see Red discharge at 8 weeks to 12 weeks of pregnancy.
In my practice, I care for many women who experience red discharge early in the first 8 to 12 weeks of pregnancy. Seeing blood when you wipe or on your underwear is very scary. This often occurs in healthy pregnancies and may not mean that miscarriage is going to occur.
Before you panic, let me just say that up to 10 to 15% of normal pregnancies will have some bleeding or brown discharge in the first few weeks. If you do have any bleeding or brown discharge, it’s important that you call your health care provider right away. It’s also important to call immediately if you have any severe pelvic pain with or without bleeding. (more…)
